Il Nero di Casanova is sourced from La Spinetta’s Tuscan vineyards in the gently rolling hills of Tuscany, where a mix of clay and limestone soils helps Sangiovese achieve both ripeness and tension. Grapes are typically harvested by hand to ensure careful selection of perfectly mature bunches, maintaining fruit purity from vineyard to cellar. In the winery, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve aromatics and freshness, followed by aging in oak (often French barriques or medium-sized barrels) to polish the tannins and add subtle complexity without overshadowing the grape’s natural character. The result is a clean, focused expression of Tuscan Sangiovese with La Spinetta’s signature precision.

Il Nero di Casanova 2021 is a versatile food wine that shines alongside classic Italian dishes such as tomato-based pastas, wood-fired pizza, grilled sausages, and roasted pork.
