Sourced from two distinct vineyard sites in northern Montalcino, it brings together the character of different Sangiovese parcels into a wine of remarkable balance, depth, and finesse.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the deep, ruby-garnet tone typical of a serious Brunello, hinting at both youth and structure. The bouquet is layered and inviting, with notes of black cherry, tobacco, and balsamic nuances, unfolding with time to reveal a more savory, complex profile. On the palate, it is concentrated and elegant, with supple tannins, bright acidity, and a long, refined finish. The 2018 vintage has the structure to age gracefully, and this wine should continue to develop beautifully over the next decade or more, gaining further complexity and aromatic depth.

Production
The estate is located in the northern part of Montalcino, with vineyards planted at 283 to 290 meters above sea level in the zones of Canalicchio di Sopra and Le Gode di Montosoli. These differing soils and exposures contribute distinct Sangiovese expressions, which are carefully blended in the cellar. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, followed by 15 to 20 days of skin maceration and alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for 36 months in 25 hl Slavonian oak casks, followed by an additional year of bottle aging.

Food & Serving
This Brunello is an excellent match for roasted or braised red meats, game, and richly flavored dishes, as well as aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C and consider decanting for at least 1 hour to allow the wine’s aromas and structure to open fully.
