Tasting Notes
In the glass, Satèn typically shows a bright straw-yellow colour with a fine, persistent perlage and a polished, luminous appearance. The nose is delicate and expressive, with notes of white flowers, ripe citrus, yellow apple, and hints of fresh brioche and almond. On the palate, it is supple and silky, with a creamy texture and a gentle, rounded mousse that gives Satèn its distinctive charm. Fresh acidity keeps the wine precise and lively, while subtle pastry, stone fruit, and mineral nuances add depth. The finish is long, clean, and elegant, and while it is already beautifully enjoyable now, it has the structure to develop further complexity with a few more years of cellaring.

Production
The grapes for Ca’ del Bosco Franciacorta Satèn 2014 come from carefully selected vineyards in Lombardy’s Franciacorta zone, an area shaped by glacial soils, mineral-rich morainic deposits, and the cooling influence of nearby Lake Iseo. These conditions are ideal for producing sparkling wines with purity, freshness, and elegance. Harvest is done by hand, and vinification follows Ca’ del Bosco’s meticulous approach, with gentle pressing and precise cellar work designed to preserve aromatic clarity and finesse before the wine undergoes its traditional sparkling wine ageing.

This wine is a natural match for refined dishes such as oysters, shellfish, sashimi, light seafood pasta, risotto, and delicate white meats. It also pairs beautifully with soft cheeses and elegant appetisers.
