Ca’ del Bosco Franciacorta Dosage Zero 2006 is a refined, uncompromising expression of Lombardy’s most prestigious sparkling wine style—crafted with no added dosage to let purity, structure, and terroir speak for themselves. Built from Chardonnay with supporting Pinot Noir and Pinot Bianco, it combines precision, depth, and a distinctly mineral character that reflects the elegance of Franciacorta DOCG.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright pale gold color with a persistent stream of very fine bubbles. The nose is vibrant and layered, offering green apple, white peach, citrus zest, toasted bread, and a subtle hazelnut note from extended lees aging. The palate is dry, focused, and beautifully balanced, with creamy texture, fresh acidity, and a clear mineral backbone. The finish is long and linear, making this a sparkling wine with excellent aging potential and plenty of complexity already on display.

Production
The grapes come from carefully selected parcels in Franciacorta, where limestone- and mineral-rich soils help deliver freshness, tension, and depth. Harvested by hand, the fruit is pressed gently in an oxygen-free environment to preserve aromatic purity, while part of the base wine is matured in small oak barrels to build complexity before the traditional bottle fermentation. The wine then spends a minimum of 60 months aging on the lees, which gives it its impressive finesse and layered character.

Food & Serving
This is an exceptional match for oysters, shellfish, sashimi, white fish, fine charcuterie, and elegant poultry dishes. Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C; decanting is not necessary, though opening it a few minutes before pouring can help the aromatics fully unfold.
