Description
Ca Del Bosco Curterfanca Chardonnay 2013 is a beautifully matured Lombardian Chardonnay that brings together depth, finesse, and a distinctly terroir-driven character. Sourced from the Curtefranca area near Franciacorta, it reflects the elegance of a classic vintage and the craftsmanship Ca del Bosco is known for. With oak aging and long bottle evolution, this is a white wine that has developed real complexity while remaining poised and harmonious.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a golden straw-yellow colour with mature reflections. The nose is layered and expressive, offering ripe pear, yellow apple, citrus peel, butter, toasted nuts, vanilla, and a delicate mineral note. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rounded, with creamy texture and a well-integrated acidity that keeps the wine lively and balanced.
The finish is long and persistent, echoing notes of nuts, butter, and subtle spice. This 2013 vintage is already at an excellent drinking stage, showing its full aromatic complexity and harmony now rather than needing further cellaring.
Production
The grapes come from vineyards in Curtefranca, Lombardy, where calcareous and moraine-rich soils, together with a temperate climate, create ideal conditions for Chardonnay. Warm days and cool nights help preserve freshness while encouraging ripe fruit development. The wine is made in a traditional style, with partial fermentation in oak followed by aging in oak barrels and extended bottle maturation, giving it structure, depth, and a creamy mouthfeel.
Food & Serving
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with richer fish dishes, shellfish, roast poultry, creamy risotto, and mushroom-based dishes. It also works well with aged hard cheeses or lightly buttered seafood preparations. Serve at 10–12 °C, and decanting is not necessary, though a short aeration can help open up the wine if served soon after opening.

Ca del Bosco is one of Lombardy’s most respected estates and a benchmark producer in the Franciacorta area.
