Bolla Recioto Valpolicella Classico is a beautifully traditional sweet red from the heart of Veneto, made from the classic Valpolicella grapes Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. With its rich character and elegant balance of sweetness and freshness, it captures one of the region’s most historic winemaking styles in a compact 0.5L format.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby color with garnet highlights. The nose is generous and inviting, offering ripe cherry, dried plum, blackberry jam, and notes of violet, cocoa, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is plush and velvety, with layered flavors of dark cherry, candied fruit, and gentle chocolate nuances, balanced by the lively acidity that keeps the sweetness from feeling heavy. Recioto has excellent aging potential for a dessert wine, and this 2020 vintage should continue to develop complexity over the next several years.

Production
Sourced from the Valpolicella Classico area in Veneto, where hillside vineyards and well-drained soils help produce concentrated fruit with freshness and aromatic lift. The grapes are traditionally selected at harvest and then partially dried before vinification, a key step in the Recioto method that intensifies sugar, flavor, and texture. Fermentation is stopped before all the sugar is converted, preserving the wine’s signature sweetness and supple structure.

Food & Serving
Serve slightly chilled, ideally at 12–14°C, to bring out freshness and aromatic detail. It pairs beautifully with chocolate desserts, fruit tarts, almond-based pastries, blue cheese, and hard aged cheeses; a brief decant can help open the aromas, especially in its youth.
