Bodegas Valduero Ribera del Duero Una Cepa 2019 is a distinctive, highly concentrated Tempranillo from one of Spain’s most admired fine-wine regions. Made from vines over 50 years old, with each vine yielding just a single bottle, it captures exceptional depth, precision, and character in every glass.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a deep, intense cherry-red color. The nose is layered and refined, opening with ripe dark berries, spice, tobacco, and elegant toasted oak notes from its time in barrel. On the palate, it is powerful yet beautifully balanced, with a silky texture, firm structure, and vibrant acidity that keeps the wine fresh and focused. The finish is long and persistent, and while it is already impressive now, it also has the concentration and framework to develop further with age.

Production
Una Cepa 2019 is crafted entirely from Tempranillo grown in Ribera del Duero’s Castilla y León, where old vines and low yields contribute to remarkable intensity. The grapes come from vines more than 50 years old, carefully cultivated for extremely limited production, with each vine producing only one bottle of wine. The wine is gently fermented and then aged for 18 months in carefully selected oak barrels from different origins, adding complexity and subtle spice. It is further matured for at least 12 months in bottle before release, allowing the wine to integrate and gain additional depth.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roast lamb, grilled ribeye, venison, braised beef, or rich dishes with mushrooms and truffle. It also pairs well with aged Manchego and other mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromas and structure to खुलfully open.
