Tasting Notes

The nose opens with lemon zest, white peach, grapefruit, hazelnut, toast, oyster shell, and a subtle streak of gunflint smoke. The palate is full and layered, yet tightly composed, carrying the aromatic notes through with impressive intensity and length. Production
The grapes come from Reed Vineyard in Marlborough, where the stony soils are mixed with a notable amount of clay, helping the vines thrive and contributing to the wine’s distinctive texture and mineral edge. The fruit was harvested and sorted by hand before pressing and fermentation, then matured by winemaker Matt Thomsen in used oak barrels, allowing the fruit expression to remain front and center while gaining subtle depth and complexity.
