Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a light golden color with green reflections, immediately suggesting youth and vibrancy. The nose is precise and aromatic, offering citrus, green pear, white flowers, fresh herbs, and a delicate mineral nuance. On the palate, the wine is dry, linear, and well-structured, with crisp acidity and a lightly creamy texture that gives it shape without losing tension. Grechetto’s characteristic gentle bitterness on the finish adds depth and complexity, leading into a long, fresh aftertaste of citrus and stony notes. It can be enjoyed now for its clarity and energy, but should also gain extra nuance over the next few years.

Production
The vineyards are located in Umbria on limestone- and clay-rich soils in a hilly landscape, where altitude and pronounced day-night temperature differences help the grapes ripen slowly while preserving aromatics and natural acidity. The 2021 vintage was cooler and well balanced, contributing to the wine’s fresh fruit profile, moderate alcohol, and clean structure. Vinification focuses on preserving the pure expression of Grechetto, with temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing mainly in stainless steel, complemented by a small amount of wood to add structure without overshadowing the wine’s freshness.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile white wine that works especially well with grilled fish, seafood pasta, roast chicken, risotto with herbs, light vegetable dishes, and mild cheeses. Serve chilled at 9–11 °C, and decanting is not necessary.
