Production
The Pinot Blanc grapes for this wine come from the Côtes de Kaysersberg in Alsace, where steep, well-exposed slopes and a mix of stony, mineral-rich soils help produce wines with clarity and finesse. The Haas family farms around 10 hectares around Kaysersberg, working their parcels with the care typical of a long-standing family domaine. Grapes are harvested by hand to ensure careful selection of healthy, ripe fruit, then gently pressed to preserve aromatics. Fermentation typically takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, allowing the natural purity of Pinot Blanc to shine, followed by maturation on fine lees to add a touch of texture and harmony without masking the grape’s fresh, precise character.

This Alsace Pinot Blanc is a highly versatile food wine, ideal with light appetizers, shellfish, white fish, roast chicken, simple pork dishes and a range of salads and vegetable-based cuisine. It also pairs beautifully with mild cheeses and classic Alsatian fare such as tarte flambée and onion tart. Serve well-chilled, around 8–10 °C (46–50 °F), to highlight its freshness and aromatics. The domaine has been in the family for generations, and today Nathalie and Marc Haas have been joined by the next generation, Elsa and Dylan, in tending their 10 hectares of vineyards both in and around Kaysersberg. The family also holds prized parcels in the renowned Grand Cru Schlossberg, underlining their presence among the serious growers of the region. Known for their sociable, down-to-earth approach and meticulous work in the vines, the Haas family consistently produces wines of high quality and strong regional character, earning them a reputation for reliability and finesse across their range.
