Belondrade, Y Lurton 2024 is one of Rueda’s most distinctive white wines, crafted from 100% Verdejo and shaped by a thoughtful use of oak. With only around 10,000 bottles produced, it offers a rare glimpse of the estate’s elegant, modern style and its commitment to precision and balance.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this white shows a bright, polished character with a sense of depth and refinement. The nose opens with aromas of white stone fruit, complemented by subtle toasted and lightly smoky notes from the partially new oak barrels. On the palate, the wine is ripe and full, with a generous texture that is kept lively by well-integrated acidity. There is both maturity and freshness here, giving the wine impressive harmony and making it enjoyable now, while also suggesting it can develop additional complexity with short- to medium-term cellaring.

Production
Made entirely from Verdejo in Rueda, the wine reflects the region’s sunny climate and the variety’s natural aromatic lift and freshness. The wine is aged in oak barrels, then the lots from the different barrels are blended in stainless steel tanks before bottling, and it is only lightly filtered to preserve texture and character.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with rich fish dishes, shellfish, poultry in creamy sauces, roast chicken, and refined vegetable dishes. Serve chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider brief decanting if you want to open up its oak nuances and layered aromatics.
