Tasting Notes
Brunello di Montalcino 2020 from Lisini shows a deep, inviting ruby-red color in the glass. The nose opens with layers of cherry and raspberry, followed by darker fruit notes and a subtle, savory complexity that gives the wine real depth. On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with mature fruit at the core and polished tannins shaped by oak aging. The finish is long and expressive, and while it already shows admirable harmony, it should also reward further cellaring over the coming years.

Production
The grapes come from Lisini’s vineyards at around 320 meters above sea level in the Montalcino zone, where the combination of altitude and Tuscan conditions helps preserve freshness and aromatic precision. The fruit is harvested by hand and carefully sorted before fermentation, which takes place at controlled temperatures over 20 to 26 days. The wine is then matured for 24 months in large Slovenian oak casks before bottling, preserving both structure and traditional Brunello character.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roasted game, braised beef, wild boar ragù, truffle dishes, and mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if opening young to allow the aromas and texture to fully unfold.
