Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, concentrated red-purple colour that hints at its richness. The nose opens with layers of blackcurrant, cherry, warm spice, and a subtle tobacco note, while the palate is full-bodied and vibrant, shaped by ripe fruit, fresh acidity, and supple tannins. The finish is long and graceful, with Priorat’s signature mineral-driven feel adding lift and complexity. While already expressive, this wine has the structure to age beautifully over the coming years, developing more nuanced earthy and savory tones with time.

Sourced from Gratallops in Priorat, a region known for its steep terraces, poor soils, and dramatic terroir, this wine reflects the intensity and precision of old-vine Mediterranean viticulture. Garnacha and Carignan provide depth and backbone, while Syrah adds aromatic lift and spice. Fermentation takes place in small tanks to preserve freshness and detail, followed by maturation in a combination of French oak and stainless steel. This careful approach helps maintain the wine’s pure fruit expression while layering in texture, complexity, and subtle oak influence.

This is an excellent match for roasted lamb, grilled beef, game dishes, or slow-cooked stews, as well as richly flavored Mediterranean cuisine. Serve at 16–18°C for the best expression, and decant for about an hour if enjoyed young to allow the aromas and tannins to open fully.
