Sourced exclusively from the historic Feudo di Mezzo cru, this red combines the finesse of Pinot Noir with the structure of Nebbiolo, wrapped in a distinctly Etnean, mineral-driven profile. Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Etna Rosso shows a luminous medium ruby color with garnet highlights toward the rim, typical of Nerello Mascalese. The nose is finely etched and layered: wild red cherries, raspberries and dried rose petals mingle with notes of blood orange, pomegranate, volcanic ash, crushed stone and a subtle whisper of sweet spice and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the wine is elegant yet firmly structured, offering vibrant red fruit—sour cherry, red currant and strawberry—supported by fine, chalky tannins and a lively, mouthwatering acidity. Hints of licorice, tobacco leaf and flint add depth, leading to a long, savory, mineral-laced finish. While already approachable and expressive in 2020, this vintage has the balance and freshness to develop additional complexity over the next 6–8 years, gaining more tertiary notes of dried flowers, spice and forest floor with time in bottle.

Production
Feudo di Mezzo is one of Etna’s most renowned crus, set on the northern slopes of the volcano at significant altitude, where warm Sicilian days are tempered by cool nights and sea breezes. The vines grow in porous, black volcanic soils rich in minerals, which naturally limit yields and lend the wine its characteristic tension and minerality. Grapes are carefully hand-harvested to ensure optimal ripeness and selection in the vineyard. In the cellar, Nerello Mascalese is traditionally vinified with a gentle fermentation to preserve aromatic purity, followed by maturation in neutral or large-format oak and/or tank, allowing texture and structure to develop without overt wood influence. The result is a precise, terroir-driven Etna Rosso that speaks clearly of its origin.
