Abbazia di Novacella’s Alto Adige Grüner Veltliner is a bright, mountain-grown white that showcases the variety’s hallmark freshness, minerality, and spicy edge. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards in Italy’s northernmost wine region, it brings together Alpine precision and the estate’s long winemaking tradition in a style that is both refreshing and distinctive.

Tasting Notes
Pale yellow in the glass with a subtle green shimmer, this wine opens with clean aromas of fresh green apple, citrus, and a delicate herbal lift. On the palate it is lively and mouthwatering, with crisp acidity, a fine mineral backbone, and the classic white pepper note that gives Grüner Veltliner its charm. The finish is bright, savoury, and persistent, leaving a fresh impression that makes it especially appealing at the table. Production
The grapes come from vineyards planted between 600 and 750 metres above sea level, where cooler temperatures help preserve freshness, aromatic precision, and natural acidity. After harvest, the wine is vinified and matured for six months in stainless steel to maintain its pure fruit character and mineral-driven profile.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine, ideal with seafood, shellfish, sushi, light poultry dishes, asparagus, and fresh vegetable-based cuisine. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary, as its appeal lies in its immediate freshness and clarity.
