Description

The 2025 Antonio Caggiano Falanghina Campania is a fresh, characterful white wine from one of southern Italy’s most expressive native grape families. Known for its bright, approachable style and Campania’s unmistakable Mediterranean energy, it offers a vibrant snapshot of the region’s white-wine tradition.

Tasting Notes
Expect a pale straw-yellow color with youthful green highlights. On the nose, it typically shows lifted citrus, white flowers, ripe pear, and hints of herbs and saline freshness, all of which make Falanghina such a distinctive Campanian white. The palate is usually crisp and lively, with zesty acidity, clean fruit, and a dry, refreshing finish. While best enjoyed young for its primary aromatics and energy, well-made Falanghina can hold its freshness for a few years after release.

Production
Falanghina is one of Campania’s classic native white varieties, traditionally shaped by the region’s warm days, cooling influences, and volcanic soils that help preserve freshness and aromatic clarity. Antonio Caggiano is known for working with local varieties and expressive terroir-driven wines, and this bottling reflects that regional focus. The wine is typically harvested at freshness and vinified in a way that emphasizes purity, varietal character, and a crisp, unoaked style.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C. It pairs beautifully with seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, fresh salads, light pasta dishes, and vegetable-based Mediterranean cuisine. Decanting is not necessary; opening shortly before serving is enough to let the wine show its freshness.

Producer
Antonio Caggiano is a respected name in Campania, closely associated with showcasing the area’s indigenous grapes and wine heritage. The estate has built its reputation on quality-focused wines that highlight local identity, helping reinforce the importance of southern Italy’s traditional varieties in the premium wine market.
