This combination promotes full ripening while preserving natural acidity, and the soils—often stony and well‑drained—help concentrate flavor and structure. Grapes for the Nobile Barrel Reserve are typically harvested selectively, focusing on optimal ripeness and healthy fruit. After gentle pressing, the must is fermented—at least in part—in oak barrels, where the wine may also rest on its fine lees to build texture and complexity, with periodic stirring depending on the vintage style.
