Tasting Notes
Pale to medium ruby in the glass, it is typically more about finesse than power. Expect lifted aromas of wild berries, dried herbs, smoky volcanic notes, and a subtle saline edge, leading to a bright, focused palate with fine tannins and vivid acidity. The wine feels energetic and transparent, with layers of red fruit, spice, earth, and mineral intensity unfolding gradually. It is a red built for nuance and detail rather than weight, and while enjoyable young for its vibrancy, it also has the structure to gain complexity over the next several years.

Production
Taganan Tinto comes from old vineyards in the Taganana area of Tenerife, where steep, fragmented plots sit on volcanic soils close to the Atlantic Ocean. The combination of altitude, maritime influence, and rugged terroir gives the wine its distinctive freshness and mineral drive; harvest is typically done by hand, and vinification is carried out with minimal intervention to preserve the character of the fruit and site.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine that works especially well with grilled tuna, roast poultry, charcuterie, earthy mushroom dishes, and Mediterranean-style vegetables. Serve slightly chilled, around 14-16°C, and decanting is optional but can help the wine open up if enjoyed shortly after release.
