2023 Seña

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby to garnet hue with excellent clarity. The nose is layered and expressive, offering blackcurrant, ripe plum, violet, cedar, graphite, and subtle spice, with hints of tobacco and Mediterranean herbs emerging with air. The palate is polished and concentrated, with fine tannins, fresh acidity and a long, elegant finish. Expect dark berry fruit, savory complexity and mineral tension, all wrapped in a refined, age-worthy frame. Seña is built to develop beautifully in bottle over many years, gaining additional nuance and texture with time.

Production
Seña comes from carefully selected vineyard sites in the Aconcagua Valley, where the climate offers warm days, cooling maritime influences and excellent ripening conditions. The vineyards are managed with a focus on low yields and precision farming to preserve freshness, complexity and concentration. Harvest is typically carried out by hand, and the wine is vinified with meticulous parcel selection and traditional red-wine techniques to build structure and finesse.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent partner for grilled ribeye, roast lamb, duck breast, venison, and rich mushroom dishes. It also works beautifully with mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young, especially to fully open its aromas and soften the tannins.
