Expect a deep ruby colour with a concentrated core. The nose is layered with blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar, tobacco leaf, graphite, and subtle spice, all framed by refined oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet composed, with ripe cassis and plum flavours supported by fine tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, structured finish. This is a Cabernet built for development, with the balance and concentration to age gracefully for several years, gaining more nuance and complexity over time.

Boekenhoutskloof works with carefully selected vineyards in Franschhoek, where varied soils and the moderating influence of the surrounding mountains help preserve freshness and aromatic precision. Fruit is typically harvested by hand to ensure optimal ripeness and careful selection in the vineyard. Vinification focuses on extracting colour and structure while maintaining elegance, followed by maturation in oak to build texture, complexity, and depth without overpowering the fruit.

Food & Serving
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye, roast lamb, beef short ribs, venison, or rich mushroom dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended if enjoyed young, to allow the wine to खुल fully and soften its tannins.
