Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a luminous light greenish-yellow hue, almost crystalline, hinting at its freshness and alpine origin. The nose is fragrant and inviting, with a clear, fine note of nutmeg that is so typical of Müller-Thurgau, layered with aromas of white and yellow stone fruits such as peach and apricot, along with subtle citrus blossom and a touch of mountain herbs. On the palate, Pfitscher’s DOLA is light-bodied yet precise, offering a dry, clean and very elegant profile. A mild, well-integrated acidity supports the fruit without ever becoming sharp, making the wine feel silky and effortless to drink. Production
The DOLA Müller Thurgau comes from steep, high-lying vineyards around Fiè allo Sciliar in the Isarco Valley of Alto Adige, at about 900 meters above sea level. Here, cool mountain nights, strong day–night temperature swings and well-drained, mineral-rich soils give naturally low yields and grapes of great aromatic purity. The fruit is harvested by hand to ensure only healthy, perfectly ripe bunches make it to the cellar. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks at around 18°C, preserving the varietal’s delicate floral and fruity notes. After fermentation, the wine is matured on fine lees in tank, gaining extra texture, complexity and a more refined, polished mouthfeel without the influence of oak.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile, food-friendly white that shines with lighter, subtly aromatic dishes. It pairs beautifully with fresh goat cheese, mild cow’s milk cheeses, vegetable antipasti, grilled asparagus, risotto with herbs, light fish dishes, shellfish, and delicately spiced Asian cuisine such as sushi or mildly spiced Thai salads. Serve well-chilled at 8–10°C to emphasize its freshness and aromatics. Decanting is not necessary; simply open and pour, though a few minutes in the glass will allow the nutmeg and stone-fruit notes to fully express themselves.
