The 2022 vintage brings the estate’s signature structure and precision in a more approachable, earlier-drinking style, while still reflecting the pedigree of one of Bordeaux’s most respected names.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color with youthful violet highlights. The nose is fresh and inviting, with aromas of dark berries, black cherry, cedar, violet, and subtle spice, unfolding with a refined, classic Bordeaux character. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with ripe black fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a cool mineral edge that speaks to its Saint-Estèphe origins. The finish is balanced and persistent, with enough depth to develop beautifully over the next several years, though the large-format bottle will also support graceful aging.

Production
Sourced from carefully selected parcels within the Château Montrose estate in Saint-Estèphe, the wine benefits from the appellation’s gravelly soils and the nearby Gironde estuary, which help moderate ripening and preserve freshness. Fruit is typically harvested parcel by parcel at optimal maturity, then vinified with precision to preserve aromatic purity and texture before maturation in oak barrels.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, duck breast, beef tenderloin, mushroom dishes, and aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and if drinking young, decant for about 1 hour to allow the wine to open and soften.
