In the glass, the wine is typically deep ruby to nearly opaque, with the concentration and intensity expected from a great Left Bank vintage. The nose opens with blackcurrant, blackberry, graphite, cedar, pencil shavings, violet, and a subtle mineral edge, layered with hints of tobacco, incense, and fine oak. On the palate, it is powerful yet impeccably controlled, combining dense dark fruit with firm, polished tannins and bright freshness. Expect a long, structured finish with savory complexity and excellent balance, giving it the potential to evolve gracefully for decades.

Production
The estate’s vineyards are rooted in the gravelly, well-drained soils of Saint-Julien, with parcels in the legendary Clos adjacent to Pauillac that contribute notable structure and depth. Grapes are typically harvested with great precision, often parcel by parcel, to preserve freshness and phenolic ripeness. Vinification is carried out with a focus on extraction control and élevage in French oak, resulting in a wine of concentration, clarity, and finesse.

This is an excellent match for classic dishes such as beef tenderloin, roast lamb, duck breast, game, or truffle-infused preparations. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for several hours in its youth to allow the aromatics and structure to open fully.
