Viñedo Chadwick is sourced from a single estate vineyard in Puente Alto, in the Alto Maipo sector of Chile’s Central Valley—an area widely regarded as one of the country’s finest terroirs for Cabernet Sauvignon–based wines. The vineyard sits at the foothills of the Andes, benefiting from poor, well-drained alluvial soils rich in stones and gravel, cool Andean breezes, and significant diurnal temperature swings that help preserve acidity and aromatic complexity. Grapes are meticulously hand-harvested in small lots at optimal ripeness, with multiple passes through the vineyard to ensure only the best clusters are selected. In the cellar, Vinification is carried out with a focus on precision and elegance: careful sorting, gentle extraction, and temperature-controlled fermentations, followed by maturation in high-quality French oak barrels (a significant portion new) to refine the tannins and add subtle layers of spice and toast without masking the wine’s sense of place. Bottling in magnum further protects the wine’s freshness and allows for a slower, more harmonious aging curve.
