In the glass, this Meursault Les Narvaux is pale lemon to light gold, with a youthful brightness that hints at both freshness and depth. Dominique Lafon farms his parcels biodynamically, focusing on soil health, low yields, and meticulous hand work in the vineyard. Harvest is carried out by hand, allowing for strict selection of only the healthiest, perfectly ripe Chardonnay grapes. In the cellar, Lafon follows a minimal‑intervention, Burgundian approach: gentle pressing, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and élevage in French oak barrels (with a judicious use of new oak) help to preserve the vineyard’s character while adding subtle texture and complexity, rather than overt oak influence.
