Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a vibrant ruby-red colour with youthful brightness and quiet concentration. The nose is layered and complex, offering red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petal, forest floor, spice, and a subtle savoury edge that adds real intrigue. The palate is refined yet deeply flavoured, with fine tannins, vivid acidity, and a seamless balance of red fruit, earthy nuance, and oak spice. It has both immediate appeal and the structure to evolve beautifully over time, gaining more complexity with several years of cellaring.

Sangreal comes from a distinctive vineyard site in Victoria, where cool conditions and carefully matched soils help shape the wine’s elegant style and natural intensity. The fruit is typically hand-harvested and vinified with a focus on preserving purity, site expression, and fine texture, with élevage in oak adding polish without overwhelming the fruit.

This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with duck breast, roast quail, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, or dishes featuring earthy herbs and truffle. Serve it slightly cool, around 14–16°C, and consider decanting for 20–30 minutes if drinking young to help the aromatics open up.
