Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Barolo typically shows a deep garnet hue with bright ruby highlights at the rim. The bouquet is layered and compelling, often opening with red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petal, and violets, before evolving into notes of spice, tar, leather, licorice, and earthy undertones. On the palate, it is firm and finely etched, with vibrant acidity, polished tannins, and a long, savory finish. Production
Brunate is one of the most prized vineyard sites in the Barolo zone, known for its exposed slopes and calcareous marl soils that lend both aromatic lift and firm structure to the wine. Vietti carefully farms and harvests by hand to select healthy, fully ripe Nebbiolo grapes, then vinifies them with traditional attention to extraction and balance before aging to preserve the vineyard’s character and refinement.
