Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright garnet hue with ruby highlights, reflecting its youthful energy and classic Nebbiolo character. The nose opens with delicate red cherries, raspberries, rose petal, violets, and hints of spice, earthy minerals, and subtle tobacco. On the palate, it is layered and graceful, combining fresh red berry fruit with firm yet polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, savory finish. Roncaglie Masseria comes from a prized cru in Barbaresco, where the combination of marl-rich soils, excellent exposure, and the moderating influence of the Piedmont climate help produce Nebbiolo with perfume, finesse, and structure.
