Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep, concentrated ruby color with a vibrant core. The nose is layered and expressive, with notes of ripe dark berries, plum, wild herbs, graphite, spice, and a distinctive stony minerality that reflects the schist-rich soils of Priorat. On the palate, it is structured yet polished, with ripe fruit balanced by freshness, savory complexity, and firm but refined tannins. Expect a long, persistent finish with mineral tension and spice. This is a wine with excellent aging potential and should develop beautifully over the next decade or more.

Production
Bellvisos comes from the Gratallops area in Priorat, where steep slopes, poor slate-based soils, and a dry Mediterranean climate naturally limit yields and concentrate flavor. Grapes are generally harvested by hand to preserve fruit quality, and vinification is carried out with careful extraction to maintain balance, precision, and site expression.

This wine pairs wonderfully with roasted lamb, grilled beef, game, and slow-cooked Mediterranean dishes such as braised short ribs or lamb shoulder with herbs.
