Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby to garnet hue with impressive density. The nose is intense and layered, often revealing ripe dark berries, plum, cherry liqueur, sweet spice, cocoa, and hints of tobacco or balsamic nuance. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with ripe fruit framed by polished tannins and a warm, balanced finish. The Riserva style gives added complexity and structure, making it enjoyable now while also suggesting good aging potential over the next several years.

Produced in Manduria, one of the most renowned zones for Primitivo in Puglia, this wine comes from vineyards rooted in the region’s warm Mediterranean climate and limestone-rich soils. The old vines contribute naturally low yields and concentrated fruit, while careful harvesting ensures optimal ripeness. Vinification is typically aimed at preserving richness and structure, followed by maturation in oak to build complexity and refinement.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roasted meats, braised lamb, grilled steak, rich pasta dishes, and aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended to help the wine open up and show its full aromatic range.
