Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a brilliant garnet-red color with youthful clarity and a refined rim. Aromatically, expect lifted notes of red cherry, rose petal, violet, licorice, and subtle spice, with hints of earth and dried herbs adding complexity. On the palate, it is precise and layered, combining bright acidity with fine, persistent tannins and a core of red berry and cherry fruit. The finish is long and graceful, with the structure to age beautifully over time; while enjoyable young with decanting, it should gain further depth and nuance over the next decade or more.

Production
Sourced from the Barbaresco area in Piedmont, the wine comes from limestone- and clay-rich soils that help preserve Nebbiolo’s aromatic lift and tannic structure. Harvest is typically done by hand to ensure fruit quality, followed by traditional vinification with careful maceration and maturation in oak to build complexity while preserving finesse.

Food & Serving
This is a superb partner for rich, savory dishes such as braised beef, roast lamb, wild mushrooms, truffle risotto, and aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for about 1–2 hours if drinking young to help the wine open up and soften its tannins.
