The 2020 vintage benefited from meticulous vineyard care, with parcel-by-parcel attention and hand-harvesting at optimal ripeness to preserve purity and freshness in the fruit. In the cellar, the grapes from each plot are vinified separately, allowing Palmer’s team to fine-tune extraction and texture before blending the Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot into their final cuvée. Gentle fermentation and élevage in high-quality French oak (a significant portion new) shape the wine’s structure, polish the tannins and layer in subtle spice without overwhelming the estate’s signature elegance and aromatic complexity.
