Production
Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc is born from gravel-rich soils over clay and sand in the heart of Pessac-Léognan, a terroir famed for producing some of Bordeaux’s greatest dry whites. The vineyards lie between Pessac and Léognan, carefully managed with low yields and meticulous attention to vine health to ensure optimal ripeness and concentration. Grapes are harvested by hand in small batches to preserve fruit integrity and are sorted rigorously on arrival at the winery. Vinification typically involves gentle pressing of whole clusters, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled conditions—often in a high proportion of French oak barrels—to encourage both aromatic purity and textural complexity. Subsequent élevage on fine lees, with periodic stirring, enhances mouthfeel and depth while maintaining the wine’s signature energy and tension.

Food & Serving
This is a gastronomic white Bordeaux that deserves equally refined cuisine. Pair it with delicate seafood such as turbot, halibut, sole or scallops, lobster with beurre blanc, or fine sushi and sashimi. It also shines alongside roasted chicken, veal in cream sauces, butter-poached langoustines, or dishes featuring morels, truffles or rich shellfish sauces. Serve well-chilled but not icy, ideally around 10–12°C (50–54°F), to allow the aromatics to fully unfold.
