Cool marine breezes funnel through the gap between Spring Mountain and the Mayacamas range, extending the growing season and allowing the fruit to ripen evenly while retaining freshness. The 42‑acre estate is predominantly planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, with small parcels of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Sauvignon Blanc, all farmed organically (and widely recognized for sustainable, meticulous vineyard care). Grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, parcel by parcel, then carefully sorted before fermentation. Vinification typically involves fermentation in stainless steel or small tanks with attentive temperature control and gentle extraction, followed by aging in French oak barrels—predominantly new—to build structure and complexity while preserving the purity of the estate’s distinctive fruit character.
