On the palate, this is quintessentially dry, precise Riesling—taut and linear, yet with a surprising depth of ripe fruit in this warm vintage. Production
Clos Sainte Hune is a tiny, 1.67-hectare monopole parcel within the Grand Cru Rosacker vineyard in Hunawihr, in the heart of Alsace, France. The terroir is dominated by Muschelkalk (shell limestone) and marl, providing exceptional drainage and a mineral-rich subsoil that gives the wine its hallmark precision and salinity. The vines are old and low-yielding, carefully tended and harvested by hand to ensure only the healthiest, perfectly ripe Riesling grapes are selected. In the cellar, Trimbach pursues a traditional, minimalist approach: gentle pressing, slow fermentation—typically in temperature-controlled stainless steel or neutral large old casks—no malolactic fermentation, and extended aging on fine lees. The wine is bottled relatively late and released only when the family deems it ready, ensuring Clos Sainte Hune captures its unique terroir with clarity and remarkable longevity.

Food & Serving
This is a world-class gastronomic Riesling, ideal with refined cuisine. It shines alongside pristine seafood—oysters, scallops, lobster, turbot, sole or sea bass—as well as sushi and sashimi, where its minerality and acidity accentuate delicate flavors. It is equally superb with fine poultry (such as roast chicken or guinea fowl), veal in light cream or citrus sauces, and subtly spiced Asian dishes, particularly those with ginger, lemongrass or mild curry. Serve cool but not ice-cold, around 9–11°C (48–52°F), to allow the aromatics to unfurl.
