The fruit for Opus One is hand-harvested in small lots, ensuring meticulous selection of only the finest clusters at optimal maturity. In the cellar, the wine is vinified with a focus on precision and purity: each vineyard block is fermented separately in stainless steel, with careful temperature control and gentle extraction to preserve aromatics and fine tannins. The final blend—dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec—is then matured in new French oak barriques, where it gains depth, complexity, and a polished, seamless texture before bottling.
