Tasting Notes
In the glass, Dominus typically shows a deep, dark ruby to nearly opaque purple core, reflecting its intensity and concentration. The bouquet is layered and refined, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, cassis, cedar, tobacco leaf, dried herbs, and subtle earthy and spicy nuances that gradually open with air. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and tightly structured, with impressive depth, fine-grained tannins, and a polished but authoritative presence. Dark fruit, savory spice, graphite, and mineral tones carry into a long, persistent finish. Dominus is built for the cellar and can age beautifully for decades, gaining complexity, texture, and nuance over time.

Production
Dominus Estate is sourced from the historic Napanook Vineyard in Yountville, Napa Valley, where well-drained soils and a warm climate moderated by cooling evening breezes create ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varieties. The 2018 vintage is a blend centered on Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, and matured in French oak with a significant portion of new barrels to preserve freshness while adding structure and complexity. Harvesting is carried out with a strong focus on vineyard precision and optimal ripeness, followed by meticulous sorting and careful vinification to highlight purity of fruit and terroir expression.

Food & Serving
This is a superb match for prime rib, grilled ribeye, lamb rack, braised short ribs, and game dishes such as venison or duck breast. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses and truffle-inflected dishes. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if opening young, allowing the wine to fully раскрыte its aromatic detail and structure.
