These vineyards combine calcareous clay and marl with varied exposures, giving a balance of structure, perfume, and depth that defines the house style. Grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, with strict selection in the vineyard and cellar. In keeping with long-standing tradition, vinification involves extended maceration on the skins in concrete, followed by aging in large, neutral Slavonian oak botti for several years. There is no use of small new oak or high-tech manipulations—this is Barolo made in the most classic, old-school sense, allowing the terroir and vintage to speak clearly.
