Tasting Notes
Deep garnet in the glass, with remarkable concentration and a polished, vibrant rim. The nose opens with black cherry, ripe plum, wild herbs, graphite, sweet spice, and a subtle mineral note that speaks to Priorat’s signature slate soils. On the palate, it is layered and structured, with dark berry fruit, licorice, toasted spice, and a long, saline finish. Despite its intensity, the wine retains excellent balance and lift, suggesting strong aging potential over the next decade or more.

Production
Clos Martinet comes from steep Priorat vineyards in Catalonia, where old vines grow in the region’s famous llicorella slate, helping to concentrate flavor while maintaining freshness. The grapes are typically harvested by hand, with careful sorting to preserve quality, and the wine is vinified with an emphasis on purity, structure, and terroir expression.

Food & Serving
This is a superb match for grilled lamb, slow-braised beef, game, roasted vegetables, or rich Catalan dishes. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1 hour if drinking young to fully open its aromas and soften the structure.
