The “1G” designation draws inspiration from Burgundy’s Premier Cru system, highlighting the importance of individual vineyard origin.

Tasting Notes
The supplied tasting description points to a restrained, expressive Riesling profile, with white peach, citrus and yellow apple on the nose, alongside hints of herbs and a distinct mineral edge. On the palate, lime and grapefruit meet stony, smoky notes and a pronounced, chalky-saline minerality. Bright acidity lends focus and carries the wine into a long finish.

The wine’s firm structure and acidity suggest it can develop further in bottle, though the precise ageing potential of the 2025 vintage is not specified.

Production
The selected Westhofen vineyards are described as being shaped by limestone soils, a defining feature of this wine’s site expression. Details about the 2025 harvest, farming practices and vinification have not been provided.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, with seafood, grilled fish, shellfish or dishes featuring fresh herbs and citrus. Its mineral freshness should also work well with goat’s cheese.
