Medium-bodied and layered on the palate, it has ripe tannins, balanced structure and a long finish.

Its fruit and tannin suggest a wine that can be enjoyed young with some aeration or cellared to allow the flavours to develop. A precise drinking window has not been provided.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 16–18°C. It should pair well with roast lamb, grilled beef or other richly flavoured meats, as well as hard, aged cheeses. If opening young, decant for about an hour to give the wine time to breathe.

Producer
Réserve de Pichon Comtesse is the second wine of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, a well-known Pauillac estate classified as a Second Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification.
