From the long-established village appellation of Monthélie, it offers an appealing balance of immediate charm and potential to develop over the next few years.

Tasting Notes
The nose opens with raspberry and wild strawberry, accented by discreet earthy and floral notes. On the palate, ripe, open fruit arrives with a fuller feel, while a pronounced tannic grip gives the wine structure. A chalky finish provides a fresh, mineral counterpoint to the fruit.

Its juicy character makes it enjoyable young, though the tannins and structure should allow it to evolve gracefully over the next few years. No specific appearance details are available.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 14–16°C. It should pair well with roast chicken, duck, pork, or mushroom dishes, whose savoury flavours complement its red fruit and earthy notes. A short spell in a decanter can help open the wine, especially when serving it young.

Producer
Hubert Lignier is a family domaine based in Morey-Saint-Denis, in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, known for its Pinot Noir wines.
