On the palate, the wine balances generous fruit with freshness and poise, offering a more accessible style while retaining Brunello’s character.

Enjoyable in its youth, it should also gain added complexity with a few years in the cellar; exact aging potential will depend on storage conditions and personal preference.

Production
The wine draws on fruit selected from four hectares of vineyards. A slow, 20-day skin maceration helps build its concentrated fruit character. Further details on the vineyard soils, harvesting methods and the remainder of the vinification are not provided.

Food & Serving
Try it with roast lamb, grilled steak, wild mushroom dishes or aged Pecorino. Serve at around 16–18°C. A brief decant—about 30–60 minutes—can help the wine open up, particularly when serving it young.

Producer
Giodo’s Prètto is a project by Carlo Ferrini, conceived as a bridge between the producer’s Rosso and flagship Brunello.
