Founded in 1880, the Franz Haas estate brings generations of winemaking experience to a Sauvignon Blanc that balances aromatic precision with a lively, mineral character.

Tasting Notes
Straw yellow with greenish reflections, it opens with elderflower and white peach, followed by dried-fruit notes and intriguing spice. The palate is lively and finely spiced, with fresh acidity, a distinct mineral thread and a persistent finish.

The wine is described as having the potential to age for 5–10 years. Its freshness and aromatic detail should also make it enjoyable in its youth.

Production
The Sauvignon Blanc grows at 400–800 metres above sea level in Alto Adige, on south- and southwest-facing sites with dolomitic soils. The vines are trained using the Guyot system, while the altitude and exposure help preserve aromatic clarity as the grapes ripen. After gentle pressing, the grapes undergo an overnight, cool maceration. Fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel and partly in small wooden barrels, followed by around eight months of maturation in the same vessels on fine lees.

Food & Serving
Serve at 12–14°C with tuna tartare, light meats or spiced Asian dishes. No decanting guidance is provided; it can be served freshly opened, with a little time in the glass to reveal its aromas.

Producer
Founded in 1880, Franz Haas is a family winery in Alto Adige with a long-standing commitment to combining scientific precision with craftsmanship passed down through generations.
