It combines ripe yellow and exotic fruit with honeyed richness, subtle oak and remarkable depth, while reflecting Rémi Jobard’s commitment to organic viticulture and long, patient élevage.

Tasting Notes
Bright golden in appearance, this Meursault offers an expressive and generous nose of ripe yellow fruit, exotic fruit and delicate honey, complemented by well-integrated oak. The palate is deep and beautifully balanced, with a rounded texture, concentrated fruit and an impressive, persistent finish. Its combination of freshness, structure and length gives it excellent ageing potential; it should develop further complexity over the next 8–15 years, depending on storage conditions.

Production
Le Poruzot-Dessus is a premier cru climat in Meursault, on Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, where Chardonnay thrives in limestone-rich soils and benefits from the region’s cool continental climate. Domaine Rémi Jobard has farmed without herbicides or pesticides since 1994, and all of its vineyards have been organically certified since 2011. The wine undergoes an exceptionally long fermentation of around two months, with barrels sometimes moved outdoors to cooler conditions to extend the process. It is then matured in oak, with the domaine using a proportion of new barrels for its higher appellations; this cuvée is shaped by oak ageing that supports, rather than overwhelms, its fruit and mineral character.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at around 11–13°C, allowing the wine to open gradually in the glass. It pairs beautifully with roast chicken, turbot, lobster, scallops, creamy fish dishes and poultry with morels, as well as mature Comté. Decanting is not essential for a young bottle, but 30–60 minutes in a carafe can help reveal its depth; older bottles are best opened carefully and decanted only if sediment is present.

Producer
Rémi Jobard, son of Charles Jobard and cousin of François Jobard, was inspired by these influential Meursault winemakers before taking the helm of the family domaine. The estate now covers approximately eight hectares, with parcels situated directly alongside Meursault Village and premier cru vineyards. Known for exceptionally long fermentations, organic farming and wines marked by refinement, elegance and longevity, Domaine Rémi Jobard has established itself as one of the notable producers of Meursault.
