Sourced from hillside parcels at 280–300 metres above sea level, it offers a lively, fruit-driven expression of the appellation.

Tasting Notes
The wine opens with aromas of red fruit and blackcurrant. On the palate, it is fresh and elegant, with rounded tannins that lend the fruit a smooth, approachable feel. The 2023 vintage’s fruit-forward character suits the cuvée’s supple style.

Enjoy it over the next few years for its fresh fruit expression. The producer recommends only a few years of ageing.

Production
The Pinot Noir comes from parcels in Pernand-Vergelesses, situated 280–300 metres above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the wine is matured in oak barrels. Further details about the vinification are not available.

Food & Serving
Its fresh fruit and rounded tannins make it a natural match for roast chicken, duck, or mushroom dishes. Serve at 15–16°C. A brief decant can help a young bottle open up; the producer suggests considering this for youthful wines.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0874/0614/9969/files/domaine-berthelemot-pernand-vergelesses-rouge-belles-filles-2023-0.png?v=1791490316
