Produced in Trentino since 1974, it combines the freshness and precision of high-altitude vineyards with the added depth and generosity of a magnum format. A fine ambassador for the Trento DOC tradition, it offers a polished alternative to Champagne with a distinctly Alpine character.

Tasting Notes
Bright golden in colour, the wine is animated by a fine, persistent perlage. The nose opens with lively citrus and white-flower aromas, followed by delicate hints of brioche and candyfloss from its extended lees ageing. On the palate, it is creamy yet fresh, with vibrant acidity providing lift and balance through the finish. Its structure and complexity make it enjoyable now, while careful cellaring for several years may allow further development of its brioche and pastry notes.

Production
The Chardonnay grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Avisiane Hills, the Cembra Valley and Valsugana, planted on south- and southeast-facing slopes at approximately 350–700 metres above sea level. The varied soils range from deep clay and marl rich in dolomitic rock to well-drained limestone and porphyry, contributing aromatic clarity and finesse. Harvest takes place from late August to early September. The wine undergoes an initial fermentation in stainless-steel tanks before a second fermentation in bottle according to the traditional method. It then rests on its lees for 24–36 months, gaining texture, complexity and a refined mousse.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at around 6–8°C, ideally in a tulip-shaped sparkling-wine glass to preserve both the aromas and the perlage. Decanting is not normally required, although carefully pouring the magnum into a wide carafe can help open the wine when serving a larger group. Its freshness and creamy texture make it an excellent match for oysters, shellfish, sushi, fried seafood, delicate antipasti and creamy risotto. It also works beautifully as an aperitif or alongside lightly seasoned poultry and fresh cheeses.

Producer
Founded in 1974, Cesarini Sforza is closely associated with the development and prestige of traditional-method sparkling wine in Trentino. The producer’s Trento Brut celebrates the region’s mountain vineyards and the elegance of Chardonnay, while its extended lees ageing reflects the patience and precision required by the Trento DOC style. The cuvée has received recognition from respected publications including Decanter and Wine Spectator.
