Known as the estate’s White Label Brunello, it has been produced with pride since 1978 and reflects the winery’s deep connection to the land and its distinctive interpretation of Montalcino’s signature grape.

Tasting Notes
Bright, clear red in colour, this Brunello opens with an intense bouquet of fresh, youthful red fruits, complemented by subtle floral and earthy nuances. On the palate, lively acidity is beautifully balanced by a creamy texture and silky, exceptionally refined tannins. The finish is long and persistent, leaving an impression of freshness and elegance.

Although already approachable with decanting, the wine’s structure, acidity and finely grained tannins give it excellent cellaring potential. It should develop greater complexity over the next decade and continue to mature gracefully for many years under suitable conditions.

Production
Made from Sangiovese grown in the Montalcino area, the wine reflects the region’s favourable terroir and the estate’s careful selection of fruit. The grapes are hand-selected both before and after destemming, then undergo natural fermentation without the addition of cultured yeast. Maceration takes place in an open, temperature-controlled, conical fermenter, with fermentation lasting 23 days. The wine then matures for a further 43 months in wood before release, in accordance with Brunello di Montalcino’s extended ageing tradition.

Food & Serving
A natural partner for classic Tuscan cuisine, this Brunello works particularly well with roast lamb, braised beef, game, wild boar ragù and aged hard cheeses such as Pecorino Toscano. Serve at approximately 18°C, allowing the bottle to come gradually to temperature. Decant for around one to two hours before serving to open the aromas and soften the youthful structure; older bottles should be handled more gently and decanted only if necessary to remove sediment.

Producer
Casanova di Neri is one of Montalcino’s distinguished estates, recognised for producing refined, terroir-driven Brunello with a strong focus on quality and precision.
