Combining the freshness of Pinot Grigio with added texture and colour, it reflects Attems’ long connection to the Collio area—a winemaking heritage documented as far back as 1106.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a delicate apricot or pale copper colour. Its character is fresh and fruit-driven, with aromas and flavours of ripe peach and apricot supported by a lively, vibrant profile. The brief contact with the grape skins contributes gentle texture and extra depth while preserving the wine’s clean, refreshing style.

This is a wine best enjoyed for its youthful freshness, although its time on the fine lees gives it enough structure and complexity to develop gracefully over the short term. It is recommended within the first few years of the vintage.

Production
The Pinot Grigio grapes are hand-harvested between late August and early September from vineyards located between the plains and the first hills of the province of Gorizia. The soils comprise partly Eocene sandstone and partly clay, while the area benefits from a position between the Adriatic Sea and the first Alpine foothills. After pressing, the must remains in contact with the skins for approximately 10 hours at 8°C, creating the wine’s characteristic copper-pink colour. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at 15–17°C for around 15 days, without malolactic fermentation. The wine then rests on its fine lees for four months before release.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at approximately 10–12°C. Its combination of freshness, delicate fruit and subtle texture makes it a versatile partner for seafood, shellfish, sushi, grilled fish, light pasta dishes, salads and mildly spiced Asian cuisine. It can be enjoyed without decanting; simply give the bottle a gentle swirl or allow the wine a few minutes in the glass to reveal its aromas.

Producer
Attems has been closely associated with the Collio region for centuries, with records of the family’s winemaking history dating to 1106 and documentation of local grape production from 1764. The estate played an important role in the development of Friulian wine and was connected with the foundation of the Collio Wines consortium in 1964, Italy’s third such consortium chronologically. Since 2000, Attems has been part of the Frescobaldi family’s portfolio, which continues to preserve the estate’s regional identity, biodiversity and close relationship with its vineyards.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0874/0614/9969/files/attems-pinot-grigio-ramato-2025_62103_1_6aa3adef-72d7-4c9a-8eb6-e6eaecc2d3f2.webp?v=1787088288
